New Country, New World

The thing about a new country is that it's not just a change of scenery and people. It's something much more than that. It is an opening to a new world, and along with that, a new self. It's like being reborn, and everything is new and exciting once again. You learn what your true values are, the person you are, and the person you want to become. The things that were once hazy become clearer than ever before...and what once seemed so clear and natural has become twisted into a whole new perspective.

The strangest part is, overall, it is just another community working together to build and live their lives. It lets you see that there are so many possibilities in this world, and that there is never just one correct answer to any situation. This experience allows you to open up your mind and embrace what is not better, not worse...but just different. This whole experience has allowed me to mature and truly understand that each and every individual is so unique and fascinating in their own way. You learn to love everyone for their quirks because that is what makes them so special. An exchange really allows you to become a better person.
